Rez HD on XBox Live Arcade this week?

Posted on Monday, January 21, 2008 in Uncategorized

rez hdThousands of Rez fans await the announcement of this week’s XBox Live Arcade game releases for the week. Rez was promised to release in January, so I feel this is a pretty sure thing. Rez was one of the “hard to find” titles on PS2 for some reason. (Sold my copy for $80) Would be perfect on XBLA. I’m sure this will be one of the pricier releases on XBLA. Rez info on wikipedia

update: So no Rez this week. MS is only releasing the free Undertow game to XBox Live members to make up for the outages during the holidays. Perhaps next week.

Wii Zapper breathes new life into system

Posted on Saturday, September 22, 2007 in Uncategorized

Zapper

So it’s no secret that the Wii has been weak on top titles since it’s release. Always seems like everything worth getting excited about is also something we are expected to wait for. Don’t get me wrong some promising titles have come out, but the reviews always end up with a 6/10 or 7/10, which is tough to justify for $50. So with Guitar Hero 3 for the Wii coming out at the end of October, and the Wii Zapper coming out sometime after that probably, the Wii might get a much needed priming before Super Mario Galaxy and Super Smash Bros. Brawl are released in November and December. But these games with hardware add-ons are a bit risky for developers and even more so for consumers who are having to shell out the extra cash for the hardware that normally only works on the game it comes with. With the Wii Zapper slated to work with several titles, I would say it looks promising indeed. And who doesn’t want to shoot their television with a large gun?

Kotaku has posted the complete Nintendo press release on the Wii Zapper.

Sony PSP fake book for extra play time

Posted on Monday, July 2, 2007 in Uncategorized

psp book

from Engadget:

We’d like to officially congratulate the Sony marketing team for graduating from offensive to merely “sending the wrong message.” Sony Italy is handing out fake books complete with fake hands to disguise PSP play from those pesky authority figures. There’s even a helpful outline of the book you’re not reading to get you out of any jams. LeVar Burton will be so disappointed.
