New theme started, much to do still
Posted on Thursday, September 6, 2007 in Uncategorized
So in an effort to “blog more” I’ve finally changed my theme from the modified K2 theme I’ve been using, that is very outdated, and no longer supported enough for me. I’m starting by modifying the IAMWW theme, which has been a good learning experience on theming. I have a lot of work to do still, but it’s going well and has been smooth so far. And Dan’s help has been great. He’s got me set up using SVN for the theme work. But tonight I just got nuts and uploaded what I had up to this point. Stay tuned, it will be changing regularly while I get it ironed out. Bye, Bye K2…you were adequate for all this time.

So far so good. I look forward to seeing it progress, and to the more frequent posts as well.
Do you plan to release it for public use once it’s finished up?

I’m not sure about releasing it publicly. Not sure I want to field the support emails and questions. Maybe when I get more comfortable with this whole theming business.

Hey Jared, you helped with with a problem like this before, I’m having a caching issue where I don’t see any changes I make (comments, plug-in changes, css edits) unless I open a different browser. I’ve cleared the local cache of the browsers I’m using and even that doesn’t do it. Wonder if I could have a plugin on that could be causing this problem or some WP setting. Last time you pointed out the WP-Cache plug-in as the culprit. Any ideas?
