I use Viper’s Video Quicktags Wordpress plug-in: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/vipers-video-quicktags/
For Wordpress I’ve found this is the one I like best.

Since jaycheck doesn’t mention WordPress specifically, it’s very likely that other “blog / forum” will strip out object/embed tags from posts, so he might not be able to in some places.
WordPress might even do the same in the future, so you might eventually need to use a plugin.
