Microsoft Surface:bringing multi touch to life
Posted on Sunday, June 3, 2007 in Uncategorized
I’ve been a huge fan of this technology for the last few years. Here is a demo of this technology pre-Microsoft. I can’t believe Microsoft is the one finally bringing this to the market. The world is definitely a more fun place when Apple isn’t the only innovator of technology. Here’s another video of Jeff Han demoing this technology at TED last year. And finally here is a hands on demo of the Microsoft Surface product. One of my only concerns with this technology is germs. Is there a windshield wiper with anti-bacterial soap that pops out and cleans the surface once a new person logs in?

Yeah, that is cool. I don’t know if you caught my post on this on Thursday, but I linked to another video demo by the MS guy. It’s pretty long, but the video and audio quality are clearer than some of the youtube ones.
It’s very cool to see this being used for real-world scenarios. Even though the flashy stuff we’ve seen up until now has been cool, it seems like now there are companies actually behind getting it out there in ways people can use.
