Mimikaki: Japanese ear picking goes gadget crazy
Posted on Sunday, April 2, 2006 in Uncategorized

Have you ever wondered about what the inside of your head looks like?
Well, now you can find out with Ear Scope G2!
Ear Scope G2 has everything the adventurous human orifice explorer could hope for. A 1.5mm diameter rod lens slips easily into the ear and sends back images through a 57cm long optical fiber cable to a scope that magnifies the image four times for easy viewing.
Ear Scope G2 comes in a choice pastel colors (blue, green, or violet) for only 10,500 yen. A set of separate mimikaki (2 large, 2 small, 1 light guide) is available as an option.

Jason, where can you buy the Japanese personal cell phone jammer?

agreed. Cell phone jammers are illegal, I would ask Dan.

If you were only trying to interfere with any cell phones in the area, you could probably build your own at radio shack. If you were actually targeting Japanese phones you’d probably want to disrupt 900MHz & 1800MHz, since those are the standard GSM frequencies, but if you’re in the US you will have to do 850 & 1900 since we use different frequencies for GSM here. You’d also have to look up the frequencies (which I don’t know offhand) for the other types of cell networks (like CDMA) that Sprint, Nextel, Verizon, etc. use.
Personally, I’d be happy just to block that annoying chirp/push-to-talk walkie-talkie stuff; I can’t stand that.
